The Power of Community, Innovation, and Persistence: A President’s message:

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am honored to welcome you to the very first edition of our newsletter. As President of the Cold Case Project of Monterey County, I want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about our mission. You can trust that our volunteer Board of Directors is committed to partnering with local law enforcement to advance investigations of unsolved violent crimes. Our goal is simple yet profound: to raise critical funds and awareness that can help investigative teams breathe new life into these dormant cases, often through technological advances.

Cold cases are not forgotten stories—they are lives interrupted, families forever changed, and truths still waiting to be uncovered. Every unresolved case represents a loved one who never came home and a family who continues to live with uncertainty. The results of these assaults ripple throughout our community.
As we continue our work, I invite you to join us in fueling the next breakthrough. Whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly donation, or simply sharing our mission with others, you can be part of the solution.

Our newsletters and website will keep you informed of our progress, sharing stories of hope and resolution, and showing how your generosity is helping real people in real ways.

Thank you for standing with us at the start of this important journey. Together, we can give voice to the voiceless—and hope to the heartbroken.

With gratitude and determination,
Ann Kern
President
