Doris Forbes

On February 19, 1981, the body of Doris Forbes was found in a car parked in the 900 block of Trinity Avenue in Seaside. The car had been parked at this location for two days. Doris had been strangled to death.

Although not much is known about Doris’ life prior to her murder, she was known to frequent the Monterey Peninsula at the time of her death. No suspects have been identified in her murder.

Seaside Police detectives collected multiple items of evidence in 1981 from Doris’ body and the car she was found in. While some of this evidence has been subjected to analysis, there are still items that could benefit from many of the recent advances in forensic technology.

These examinations could provide modern detectives with the necessary leads to identify her killer.
